Up for grabs is a lovely example of the popular “Root Beer” Rolex GMT-Master, in two-tone steel and 18kt yellow gold, circa 1974. This example features the so-called “nipple” and “tiger’s eye” dial, due to the smaller hour markers and the dial’s sunburst color, similar to that of the gemstone by the same name (tiger eye). This Rolex GMT-Master is in great condition. The case appears unpolished, with sharp beveled edges. The dial is gorgeous, with no wear/damage, with all its factory gloss in tact. The original tritium lume is present on both dial and hands, aged to a cream color. The watch comes fitted on a Rolex Oyster 78363 bracelet, with 480 endlinks, and has 11 full links and no stretch.
