Rolex “Maxi MK1 5513 Tiffany” Submariner

Up for grabs is a stunning example of a Rolex Submariner, Reference 5513, circa 1977 (5.2m serial).  This example features a very desirable 1st execution (MK1) “Maxi” dial, denoting the larger size of the lume plots, as compared to the Submariner’s predecessors.  However, what really sets this example apart from the pack is the fact that it was stamped and retailed by the famous jeweler, Tiffany & Co., for exclusive sale in their stores.

This Rolex Submariner is in great vintage condition.  The case appears has been professionally polished in the past, but retains thick and even lugs, with nicely defined bevels.  The dial is immaculate, with no chips, scratches, or flaws. The original tritium lume is present on both dial and hands, aged to a nice creamy yellow color.  The bezel insert is period correct to this reference, and is in good condition, with a nice fade set in.

The watch comes equipped with a flip-lock 93150 bracelet with 580 endlinks, and is in good condition with 10 full links and almost no stretch.
