Description
This is a very well-preserved and mint example of a “frog foot” Rolex Explorer, Ref. 1016. The watch has a serial of 173xxxx, dating it to 1967. The original “matte” dial is in perfect condition, with no chips, scratches, etc. The lume in the hands is a tiny shade lighter than the dial, but is perfectly in-tact, and matches the dial very closely. The case features thick and even lugs, and does not shows signs of over-polishing (or much at all).
