Description
Up for grabs is a Rolex Explorer I, Reference 1016, with first execution “frog foot” dial, circa 1971 with its original box, “punched” warranty certificate and booklet, as well as Rolex brochures, cards, etc., and a recent service receipt. This particular Explorer is in great condition. The case has been previously polished, but still retains thick and even lugs. The dial is gorgeous, with no visible damage. The original tritium lume is present on the dial and hands, aged to an off-white/cream color. The watch comes equipped on a Rolex Oyster 78360/280 bracelet, dated to 1970, with 11 full links (with one extra included loosely) and minimal stretch.
