Up for grabs is an uncommon Rolex Day-Date, Ref. 18038, which was transitional from the Reference 1803, introducing the “single quick-set” function, which allows the owner to quickly just the date via the crown. This example dates to 1979, and is fitted with a rare and very popular black stone “onyx” dial. Further, the watch comes very complete with its large Rolex presidential box and “punched” Warranty Certificate, and booklets.
The condition of this Rolex Day-Date is very nice. The case has been polished in the past, retaining thick and even lugs, overall well-preserved. The onyx dial is perfect, with no damage or cracks whatsoever.
The watch comes on its original hidden-clasp 18kt Rolex Swiss bracelet, with light stretch, and will fit an approximate 7-7.2″” wrist (five removable screws).
