Description
Offered here is an excellent example of a Rolex Submariner, featuring the date window at 3 o’clock, the Reference 1680. This Submariner has a serial of 58xxxxx, dating it to 1978-1979. The watch comes fitted on a flip-lock thick bracelet, with 93150/580 endpieces/endlinks, 10 links in total, and with minimal stretch.
This Rolex Submariner is in great vintage condition. The case has been lightly polished in the past, but shows thick and even lugs. The dial is perfect, devoid of any flaws whatsoever. The original tritium lume is still present on both dial and hands, aged to a gorgeous golden patina. The bezel insert is period correct for the reference and presumably original to the watch, with the pearl likely recolored to match the dial.
