Offered here is an excellent example of a Rolex Submariner, featuring the date window at 3 o’clock, the Reference 1680. This Submariner has a serial of 57xxxxx, dating it to 1978-1979. This Rolex Submariner is in great vintage condition. The case has been lightly polished in the past, but shows thick and even lugs, expertly finished to recreate the original beveled edges on the watch. The dial is in great condition, with no real chips, scratches, or marks. The original tritium lume is still present on both dial and hands (with minor loss at the base of the hour hand), aged to a gorgeous golden patina. The bezel insert is period correct for the reference, and the pearl has aged consistent with the lume on the dial/hands.
