Rolex “18038 Tiffany” Day-Date

Up for sale is a stunning and rare Rolex Day-Date, reference 18038, produced in 1984 in solid 18kt gold.  However, what sets this particular Day-Date apart from the pack is the fact that it was retailed by the famous jeweler, Tiffany & Co.  Further, this Rolex Day-Date is in lovely vintage condition.  The case is unpolished and sharp, with lovely rosy patina on the lugs and endlinks; the caseback has an endearing engraving “Joseph B. Patterson”, presumably the original purchaser of the watch.  The dial shows some very light and even spotting, overall very well-preserved; likewise, the original tritium lume is preserved on both dial and hands, aged to a nice yellow color.  Finally, the watch is on its original Rolex hidden-clasp Presidential 8385 bracelet, and has 5 removable screws (appx. 7.25″ wrist) and no stretch.
