Rolex “1803” Day-Date

Description

This is a very beautiful example of a Rolex Day-Date in 18kt Yellow Gold, Reference 1803, dating to 1970.  The case is in excellent condition, with thick and even lugs, and appears very lightly polished in the past.  The dial is in excellent shape, with no wear or damage, and the original tritium lume is present on the dial, aged to a golden yellow color, with some minor loss to some of the plots; the hands have been professionally color-matched to the dial. These classic Day-Dates have soared in popularity as of late, and they encompass a perfect every day watch, suitable for both casual and dressy occasions.
