SOLD
Description
Up for grabs is a lovely example of the incredibly popular Rolex “Zenith” Daytona, so-called for its movement made by the brand, Zenith. Rolex introduced the automatic movement chronograph in 1987, using a movement manufactured by Zenith, as it was the industry’s only self-winding chronograph movement that met Rolex’s high quality standards. This particular example was produced early in their production in 1990, and fitted with an early and uncommon “Inverted 6” dial, as the 6 in the bottom register was erroneously flipped, appearing as a 9.
This Rolex Daytona is in great vintage condition. The case does not show signs of overpolishing (if ever polished at all), maybe lightly done once in the past. The dial is in mint condition, with no flaws or marks. Likewise, the original tritium lume is present on both dial and hands. The bezel shows no detail/color loss. The Rolex gold Oyster 78668 bracelet has 11 full links and no stretch.
