Offered here is Patek’s successor to the popular Calatrava reference 96 – the follow-up 3796. The reference 3796 was produced in three metals (yellow, rose, and platinum), and was released in 1982. The present example was sold by Gubelin in 1983, was manufactured in rose gold, with a matching rose gold dial (“pink on pink”); Patek allegedly only produced a handful of these matching pink-on-pink examples. Further, this particular example comes with its original Patek Philippe box, Certificate of Origin, accompanying paperwork, and original matching rose gold Patek tang buckle. This Patek Philippe Calatrava is in great vintage condition, with a seemingly unpolished case (showing normal wear from use), and a perfect dial with no flaws.
