Patek Philippe "570 Pink on Pink" Calatrava

SOLD

Patek Philippe “570 Pink on Pink” Calatrava

SOLD

Description

Up for grabs is a beautiful and super crisp early Patek Philippe Calatrava, reference 570, circa 1949, housed in a very rare combination of an 18kt rose gold case with matching pink dial.  The reference 570 is a very popular reference amongst collectors for its larger (than Patek standards) case size and long lugs, giving it a nice presence on the wrist.  According to Patek, this watch was sold in November of 1949, although the Extract from the Archives (included in the sale) does not specify to whom it was sold/delivered.

The condition of this Patek Philippe Calatrava is great, overall very well-preserved.  The case has been lightly polished in the past, but still showing its clear hallmark on the back of the lugs. The dial is likewise mint, with zero flaws, and strong raised enamel printing.  The watch retains its original Patek Philippe matching rose gold buckle.
