Omega “Pre-Moon Full-Set” Speedmaster

SOLD

Description

Up for grabs is an excellent example of an Omega Speedmaster, of the so-called “Pre-Moon” models, Reference 145.022-69, circa 1969, with a correct serial range for this reference.  The -69 is the last of the Pre-Moons (before the Moon launch), and the first Speedmaster with a painted Omega logo.  This example is in excellent vintage condition.  The case is unpolished, with original beveled edges, and still very sharp. The dial is perfect, with no blemishes or damage.  The original tritium lume is still present in both hands and dial, aged to a lovely yellow color on the dial, and a slightly darker color in the hands, which is common for this model.  The original crystal is still present, signed with the Omega logo in the center.  The original and correct “DON” (Dot Over Ninety) bezel is in great shape, with only light wear.  Further, the watch comes fitted on an Omega folded-link 1035 bracelet, with 516 endlinks, and is dated to 1971; the watch also comes with its original Omega box, filled-out Guarantee booklet (dating the sale of the watch to 1971), and original receipt from the sale.  In addition to the original box and papers, the watch comes with an Omega Extract from the Archives (not pictured), confirming delivery of the watch to Argentina, marching the original paperwork
