SOLD
Description
Offered here is a very rare Omega chronograph, circa 1930-1940s, the Reference 2393, powered by the famous Cal. 33.3 movement, which was the predecessor to the Omega Cal. 321 and 27CH. This watch is fitted in a large, oval-pusher 38mm steel case, and is fitted with a black, gilt three-color “snail” dial. These watches are very difficult to find, and most have aged very poorly over the year. This example is in great vintage condition, with an unpolished case, and lovely dial, still very glossy, with light aging visible under a loupe, common for these dials. These black gilt Omega chronographs are adorned by collectors, and considered some of the most desirable watches in the vintage world.
