Up for grabs is an excellent example of an Omega Speedmaster, of the so-called “Pre-Moon” models, Reference 145.012-67, circa 1967, with a correct serial range of 26xxxxx. This example has been confirmed by Omega as being delivered to Mexico, and is accompanied by its original bracelet, only used for delivery of Speedmasters to the Mexican market.
This Omega Speedmaster is in beautiful vintage condition. The case has been polished on the sides of the case, with original beveled edges still visible; there are no tool marks on the caseback. The dial is perfect, with no blemishes, and has begun to age to a tropical brown under sunlight. The original tritium lume is still present in both hands and dial, aged to a golden yellow color on the dial, and a lighter yellow/green in the hands. The original and correct “DON” (Dot Over Ninety) bezel is in good shape, with light wear. The chronograph hand and winding crown are service replacement parts.
