SOLD
Description
Up for grabs is a great example of a “12H” (denoting 12 hours of recording time) chronograph from Gallet’s MultiChron line, circa 1960s. This example mirrors the black-dial “Jim Clark” model, having a white dial with blue and red scales along the perimeter of the dial. This watch is powered by a Valjoux 72 movement, a desirable feature of the 12H chronographs.
This Gallet chronograph is in nice vintage condition. The case is unpolished and has beautifully defined beveled edges. The dial is in great condition, with only light wear consistent with use and age. The original tritium lume is present in both dial and hands, aged to a dark yellow/green in the hands, and a darker brown on the dial.
