SOLD
Description
Up for grabs is a rare and highly sought-after Eberhard Scafograf 300, with uncommon gilt inlay text, produced in the mid-1960s. This example is in good vintage condition. The twisted-lugs case does not show signs of overpolishing, and still has defined bevels in the lugs. The dial is still very glossy with minimal wear from aging; the presumably original crystal does show some crazing (and can be replaced upon request). The bezel shows minimal wear, overall very well preserved. Further, the dial still retains its original lume, aged to a nice golden yellow; the hands have possibly been relumed in the past, slightly lighter than the dial and glowing under a UV light slightly longer than the dial. The watch comes fitted on an Eberhard stretch-rivet bracelet, dated to 1958.
