Up for grabs is one of our favorite watches of all time – the Audemars Piguet “Jumbo” Royal Oak.  But, this is no ordinary Royal Oak – this particular watch, reference 25636BA, is an open-work (“skeletonized”) and perpetual calendar, housed in 18kt yellow gold, considered by many one of the most beautiful Royal Oaks ever produced, and by far one of the most collectible.  This Audemars Piguet Royal Oak is sold complete with its original Audemars Piguet winding box, Guarantee Certificate (originally sold in December of 1993, and an Extract of the Audemars Piguet Registry, confirming production and date of the watch.

Further, this Audemars Piguet Royal Oak Skeleton Perpetual is in excellent pre-owned condition.  The case has been professionally detailed, retaining sharp bevels and remaining very crisp overall.  The bracelet will fit an approximate 7″ wrist, and does not show any stretch.

The 25636 is Audemars Piguets’ very first open work perpetual calendar Royal Oak, made in very limited quantities (allegedly 156 pieces in yellow gold), and will continue to be highly coveted as the beginning model of an era and style that paved the way under their flagship watch, and arguably Gerald Genta’s most popular design – the Royal Oak.
