Audemars Piguet “524” Disco Volante

Up for grabs is a stunning, very early, and very rare Audemars Piguet “Disco Volante”, in 18kt yellow gold. Thanks to our dear friend Adam Victor (@abv33 on Instagram, give him a follow for great watch content!), we were able to decipher that this particular example was given the reference 524, right on the cusp from the pre-reference era; further, the watch dates to 1945. This particular example was fit with a lovely roman-numeral bezel, not often seen.

This Audemars Piguet Disco Volante is in superb vintage condition. The case remains unpolished, with only light wear from use; additionally, the dial is exceptionally well-preserved, as most of the time this model shows significant damage. The watch comes with its original AP yellow gold tang buckle.
