Description
Up for grabs is a lovely example of the popular “Root Beer” Rolex GMT-Master, in two-tone steel and gold, circa 1985. This example features the so-called and “tiger’s eye” dial, due to the dial’s sunburst color, similar to that of the gemstone by the same name (tiger eye). Further, this watch comes complete with its original inner and outer box, Rolex Warranty Certificate, and Rolex GMT-Master booklet.
This Rolex GMT-Master is in great condition. The case has been lightly polished in the past, with thick and even lugs, and beveled edges. The dial is gorgeous, with no major wear/damage. The original tritium lume is present on the dial, aged to a cream color; the hands have been professionally color-matched to the dial. Finally, the watch comes on its original Rolex Jubilee 62523H bracelet, with correct 450/50 endlinks/endpieces, and appears fully-linked with minimal stretch. The caseback shows remnants of the original sticker.
