SOLD
Description
Up for grabs is an incredibly rare Wittnauer Professional Chonograph, fitted with an almost never seen white, panda (white with black registers) dial. Widely known for its use by NASA, the Wittnauer Professional Chronograph, Ref. 242T, was tested for use in space, a contract that we know eventually go to Omega. Powered by a Valjoux 72 and housed in a 38mm case, this watch has a lot going for it.
This Wittnauer 242T chronograph is in good vintage condition. The case his unpolished and in excellent condition. The dial is exceptionally well-preserved, with no visible flaws. The original tritium lume is still present in both dial and hands, aged to a pale yellow color. The bracelet is not original, and is an aftermarket “beads of rice” steel bracelet.
This is your chance to own possibly the only white-dial version of this popular watch to come to market in some time.
