Up for grabs is a very nice example of the iconic Universal Geneve Polerouter, circa 1960s, featuring a Gerald Genta-designed case with twisted lugs, and UG’s microrotor movement. This particular example features a silver, “sunburst” dial, and is the more popular “no date” variety.
This Universal Geneve Polerouter is in excellent vintage condition. The twisted lugs case has never been polished, and remains sharp. The silver dial is very beautiful, very well-preserved, and with no flaws to the naked eye. The original lume is fully in-tact on the dial and hands, and has aged to an even golden yellow patina color. Finally, the watch is still equipped with its original Universal-signed plastic crystal, a bonus for the astute collector.
