Offered here is one of the nicest examples we’ve ever seen of a first execution (MK1) Universal Geneve Space Compax. Powered by the venerable Valjoux 72, the Space Compax was marketed as one of Universal Geneve’s versatile sports chronographs.
This Universal Geneve Space Compax is in excellent condition. The case is unpolished and untouched. The dial is mint, with no flaws. The original tritium lume is present in both dial and hands, aging to a beautiful golden yellow. The bezel is in near-perfect condition. The reference and serial number is still visible with a loupe on the caseback.
The movement bridge has been replaced with a generic replacement at some point during service in the past.
