Description
This is a rare Universal Geneve Dato Compax, circa 1945. The Dato Compax is essentially a Compax chronograph with the addition of a date register at 12 o’clock. These watches do not come up for sale very often, and are highly collectible.
The watch offered today is in good vintage condition. The original dial shows wear consistent with its age, but is very nice. The stainless steel case is unpolished, and the straight lugs make this watch wear larger on the wrist. The original lume has aged to a dark brown color. The date register subdial hand is likely a replacement.
