While the various reasons we love us some vintage Universal Geneve are quite clear, we also love their often overlooked neo-vintage/modern stuff that was made right before they closed up shop. What you get with these pieces are designs that are reminiscent of the vintage “hey-day” of Universal Geneve, with the sturdiness and upgraded “build” of a modern watch.

This particular model, Reference Number 884.420, just oozes with that vintage “cool” aesthetic of the Compax of old, but the case and movement are built to take on the trials and tribulations of the modern world. Oh and did we mention that the UG Cal. 84 that is the life blood of this bad boy is based off of the acclaimed Lemania 1873 movement?

With this watch, you get the whole package. And we mean that quite literally – the original box, strap (albeit heavily worn), and deployment buckle are included!
