Description
Up for grabs is a stunning and rare gilt-dial triple-register UG Compax, circa 1939. Universal Geneve from this era are extremely difficult to find fitted with black gloss-gilt dials, and are adorned by collectors.
The watch offered here is in very good vintage condition. The yellow gold case does not show signs of over-polishing, if any at all. The original gilt dial does show wear consistent with age; the “gloss” is no longer present, as is often the case with these dials from this era, and has matte-black appearance, with light spotting.
