Description
Up for grabs is a Tudor “Snowflake” Submariner, circa 1979. Tudor is better known as the “sister” brand to Rolex – originally formed as a more affordable alternative to that of a Rolex. In recent years, Tudor has exploded in popularity amongst collectors, with prices often eclipsing those of their Rolex counterparts. This example is a highly sought-after “Snowflake” Submariner, so-called for the snowflake-like appearance of the hour hand.
This Tudor Submariner is in great vintage condition. The case appears lightly polished, with a thick case, and original bevels still visible. The dial is in excellent condition, with no flaws, chips, etc. The original tritium lume is present in both hands and dial, aged to a golden and vibrant yellow.
The watch comes with a Rolex 7836 folded-link bracelet with 380 endlinks, and has 13 links, with light stretch.
