Up for grabs is a Tudor “Snowflake” Submariner, circa 1978. Tudor is better known as the “sister” brand to Rolex – originally formed as a more affordable alternative to that of a Rolex. In recent years, Tudor has exploded in popularity amongst collectors, with prices often eclipsing those of their Rolex counterparts. This example is a highly sought-after blue-dial “Snowflake” Submariner, so-called for the snowflake-like appearance of the hour hand. Further, this example comes with its original Tudor inner and outer box, and filled-out warranty certificate.
This Tudor Submariner is in great vintage condition. The case appears lightly polished, with a thick case, and even lugs. The dial is in excellent condition, with no flaws, chips, etc. The original tritium lume is present in both hands and dial, aged to a lovely yellow color.
