Rolex “Full-Set 4354 Onyx” Cellini

Up for grabs is an incredibly rare and increasingly popular Rolex Cellini model, circa 1980.  While collectors have been focused primarily on sports Rolex models for the longest time, there has been a huge surge by many collectors in more esoteric models, such as the King Midas and Cellini.  This particular reference is extremely rare, reference 4354, which is an offshoot of the more common reference 4350.  Presumably, the reference is different in order to reflect the special variant seen on this watch – a black, Onyx-stone dial with matching enameled black bezel.  This particular Rolex Cellini also comes complete with its original Rolex Cellini box, Warranty Certificate (originally sold in Italy in 1984), and Cellini booklet.

The condition on this Rolex Cellini is incredible.  The case is unpolished, developing a beautiful patina, with all numbers on the caseback crisp and visible (usually worn off and not legible).  The dial is likewise perfect, with no visible flaws.  The bracelet will fit an approximate 7.25″ wrist, and has 6 removable screws.

This is an absolutely incredible example — and set — of a rising star in the vintage Rolex collecting-world, and something you certainly do not see every day!
