Rolex “1680” Submariner

Description

Offered here is a very attractive example of a Rolex Submariner, featuring the date window at 3 o’clock, the Reference 1680.  This Submariner dates to 1978. This Rolex Submariner is in great vintage condition.  The case has been previously polished, but retains thick and even lugs, with nicely beveled edges. The dial is in excellent condition, with no flaws, chips, marks, etc.  The tritium lume is original and present on both the dial and hands, aged to a vibrant yellow color.  The original and period correct bezel insert is in likewise good condition, with no scratches.

The watch comes fitted on a Rolex flip-lock thick bracelet, with 93150/580 endpieces/endlinks, 11 links in total, and with no stretch.
