Offered here is a Rolex GMT-Master, Ref. 16758, in 18kt Yellow Gold, circa 1980. The Reference 16758 is transitional from the Reference 1675, upgraded with a sapphire crystal and Caliber 3075 movement, and introduced the quick-set function to the GMT line. These watches came fitted with a variety of dials, with the brown “nipple” dials being amongst the most favored by collectors.
The condition on this gold GMT-Master is very good. The case has been lightly polished in the past, but retains thick and even lugs, with beautifully beveled edges. The brown nipple dial is perfect, with no damage. Further, the original tritium lume is still present on both dial and hands, aged to an off-white color. The watch comes fitted on its original Rolex Swiss Jubilee bracelet, with 19 links, and has minor stretch.
