Patek Philippe "Tropical 3700" Nautilus

SOLD

Patek Philippe “Tropical 3700” Nautilus

SOLD

Description

Offered here is a very beautiful and uniquely aged of a Patek Phillipe “Jumbo” Nautilus, the Reference 3700/1, circa 1977.  These watches have exploded in popularity as of late, and are considered by many to be the best design of Gerald Genta.   This Patek Phillipe Nautilus is in great vintage condition.  The case has been previously polished, but retains nice definition in the case, by no means overpolished. The original grey dial has aged to a gorgeous brown/tropical color. The original tritium lume is present in both dial and hands, aged to a nice dark yellow color; please note: it appears the minute hand has likely been relumed, as it glows slightly longer than the hour hand and dial when exposed to UV light.

The watch is accompanied with an Extract from the Archives, confirming both production in 1977 and delivery in 1978.
