Description
Up for grabs is an excellent example of an Omega “Pre-Moon” Speedmaster, circa 1969. This model features a beautiful step-dial, painted Omega logo, correct “DON” (Dot Over Ninety) bezel, and twisted lugs case that was used in space flight to the moon.
The present Omega Speedmaster is in excellent condition. The case is unpolished and untouched. The step-dial is excellent, with no visible flaws. The original lume is still present in both hands and dial, aging to a darker brown in the hands; only minor lume loss is visible to a portion of the 9 o’clock marker. There is also minor paint loss at the base of the minute had. The DON bezel is in good condition, with only minor paint loss on the left side.
Serial is 2911xxxx and correct range for a -69.
