Description
Up for grabs is a rare variant of the reference 1153 Heuer Carrera, circa 1970s. This particular version, the reference 1153BN features a blue sunburst dial with contrasting black registers. These sunburst often age with a light tropicalizing/fading of the top coat of lacquer, giving the dials a unique look – this example, shows a beautiful stardust appearance on the top portion of the dial, a truly stunning look. The watch itself is in great vintage condition. The case is unpolished and sharp. The dial, as previously mentioned, has a beautifully aged patina to the blue lacquer in certain parts, and is otherwise without scratches or defects. Further, the original tritium lume is present on both dial and hands, aged to a golden yellow.
Finally, the watch comes fitted on its original Heuer “beads of rice” Gay Freres bracelet, dated to 1972, in excellent condition, and will fit approximately a 7″ wrist.
