Doxa Sub 300 "Searambler" Diver

SOLD

Doxa Sub 300 “Searambler” Diver

SOLD

Description

Up for grabs is a rare “Searambler” Doxa Sub 300 Professional Diver, circa 1970s.  Doxa created the Sub 300 dive watches, which were used a multitude of famous divers, include the French Frogmen and Jacques-Yves Cousteau himself.

This Doxa Sub 300 “Searambler” Diver chronograph is in nice vintage condition.  The case appears unpolished, with normal wear for a vintage dive watch.  Further, the original dial is well-preserved for its age, as most of these did not stand the test of time well; this example shows some patina, but no major damage.  Likewise, the original tritium lume is still present on both dial and hands, aged to a nice pale yellow on the dial, and darker on the hands.  The watch comes fitted on its original Doxa beads-of-rice expandable bracelet.
