Go To ShopRolex “Transitional 16800” Submariner
SOLD
Description
Offered here is a great example of the so-called “transitional” Submariner, the Reference 16800, which was Rolex’s follow-up to the Reference 1680. The 16800 introduced the quick-set function to the Submariner and featured their new Caliber 3035 movement. The present example dates to 1982 (7.1m), and is in great vintage condition. The case has been lightly polished in the past, with thick and even lugs. The dial is pristine, with not a blemish in sight. The original tritium lume is present on both hands and dial, aged to a nice yellow color. The watch comes on a 93150/593 bracelet, in excellent condition with minimal stretch, and 11 full links.
