SOLD
Description
Up for grabs is a very attractive example of a no-date Rolex Submariner, Ref. 5513, circa 1985, with a “gloss/white-gold surround” dial, which was the last dial variation of the Reference 5513 before being discontinued a few years later. A few of the dials on these watches have what are called “spider” dials, meaning the lacquer has cracked, giving it a web-like. unique appearance. This Rolex Submariner is in great condition. The case appears lightly polished, with normal wear and thick and even lugs. The dial is in great condition, with no chips, scratches, or marks, and only spidering to the lacquer finish. The original tritium lume is still present in the hands and dial, aged to a vibrant yellow color. The bezel insert is correct for this period of Submariner, has aged to a dark navy hue, with some fading. The watch comes on a flip-lock 93150/580 bracelet, with 10 full links, and very light stretch.
