Rolex "Rail-Dial 16570" Explorer II

SOLD

Rolex “Rail-Dial 16570” Explorer II

SOLD

Description

Up for sale is a Rolex 16570 Explorer II, V serial, circa 1990. These early-serial Explorer IIs have surged in popularity; this particular is fitted with a rare “rail” dial, meaning the bottom lines of text are aligned straight, making it very collectible.  This Rolex Explorer II is in nice vintage condition.  The lugs are thick and even, lightly polished in the past.  The dial is devoid of any flaws, and the original tritium lume on the dial and hands have aged to an off-white color. The watch comes equipped on its original Rolex Oyster 78360 bracelet, with 501B endlinks, and has 11 full links with no stretch.
