SOLD
Description
Offered here is a stunning example of a Reference 1675, Rolex “GMT-Master”, with an MK3 (third execution) dial, the so-called “radial” dial. These dials are unique due to their placement of the lume plots further in the dial towards the hands, as opposed to the traditional layout, which has the plots placed near the hash marks around the edges of the dial. The radial dial can only be found within a certain serial range, and is very uncommon. The serial of this GMT-Master is 42xxxxx, dating this watch to 1974.
The watch itself is in excellent vintage condition. The case has been polished in the past, but shows well defined beveled edges. The dial is in excellent condition, with no flaws, and none of the pitting/bubbling typically seen on MK3 dials. The original tritium lume is still present on both dial and hands, aged to a striking yellow color. The original and very rare “mega fat font” and “Pepsi” bezel insert is likewise in nice condition, with a nice fade set in.
The watch comes fitted on a Rolex Oyster 78360 bracelet with 580 endlinks, and has 11 full links with no stretch.
