Offered here is an excellent and extremely attractive example of a Rolex Submariner, featuring the date window at 3 o’clock, the Reference 1680. This Submariner has a serial of 60xxxxx, dating it to 1979. This Rolex Submariner is in great vintage condition. The case has been lightly polished in the past, but shows thick and even lugs, and original bevels still visible. The dial is stunning, with no real flaws, chips, etc. The tritium lume is original and present in both dial and hands, aged to a striking “pumpkin” orange color, a slight shade lighter in the hands than the dial. The bezel insert is period correct for the reference, and in great condition.
The watch comes fitted on a Rolex flip-lock thick bracelet, with 93150/580 endpieces/endlinks, 11 links in total, and with almost no stretch.
