Rolex "Porcelain 16528 Zenith" Daytona

SOLD

Rolex “Porcelain 16528 Zenith” Daytona

SOLD

Description

Up for grabs is a lovely example of the incredibly popular Rolex “Zenith” Daytona, so-called for its movement made by the brand, Zenith.  Rolex introduced the automatic movement chronograph in 1987, using a movement manufactured by Zenith, as it was the industry’s only self-winding chronograph movement that met Rolex’s high quality standards.  This particular example is the very first iteration in solid 18kt yellow gold, fitted with a “floating” and “porcelain” dial, produced in 1987.

This Rolex Daytona is in great vintage condition.  The case does not show signs of overpolishing, maybe lightly done once in the past. The dial is in mint condition, with no flaws or cracks, and likewise for the lume. The bezel shows no detail/color loss.

Finally, the watch comes on its original Rolex 78668 Oyster bracelet, with 12 full links, and no stretch.  In addition, included in the sale is the original Rolex wooden box, Daytona booklets, and Rolex service card dating to 2017.
