SOLD
Description
Up for grabs is a lovely “meters first” Rolex Submariner Ref. 5513, with a “ghost bezel”, circa 1967 (2.0m serial). The “meters first” dials were the very first Rolex Submariner models to feature a “matte” dial, and are considered transitional from gilt to matte, with a limited production of around 3-4 years. This Rolex Submariner is in great condition. The case is unpolished, with normal wear, and thick beveled edges. The dial is flawless, with no chips, scratches, tool marks, etc. The original tritium lume is present on the dial, aged to a beautifully and puffy yellow color; the hands have been relumed at some point in the past, but match the dial well. The original fat font and “Long 5” insert is in great condition, and aged to a blue hue.
This Submariner comes with its original American rivet bracelet, dated to 1970; it has 10 full links and very light stretch.
