Up for grabs is a stunning example of a Rolex Submariner, Reference 5513, circa 1979 (6.0m serial). This example features the most desirable 3rd execution (MK3) “Maxi” dial, denoting the larger size of the lume plots, as compared to the Submariner’s predecessors.
This Rolex Submariner is in great vintage condition. The case has been lightly polished in the past, but retains thick and even lugs, with nicely defined original beveled edges. The dial is immaculate, with no chips, scratches, or flaws. The original tritium lume is present on both dial and hands, aged to a nice creamy yellow color. The bezel insert is period correct to this reference, and is in good condition, with no major wear.
The watch comes equipped with a flip-lock 93150 bracelet with 580 endlinks, and is in good condition with 11 full links and no stretch.
