Rolex "LNOS 18038 Wood" Day-Date

SOLD

Rolex “LNOS 18038 Wood” Day-Date

SOLD

Description

Up for grabs is an uncommon Rolex Day-Date, Ref. 18038, which was transitional from the Reference 1803, introducing the “single quick-set” function, which allows the owner to quickly just the date via the crown.  This example dates to 1981, and is fitted with a rare “wood” stone dial.

The condition of this Rolex Day-Date is excellent, seemingly barely used.  The case is unpolished and sharp, retaining its original caseback sticker, and showing a beautiful patina/tarnish on the bracelet.  The dial remains perfect, with no cracks or imperfections.

The watch comes on its original hidden-clasp 18kt Rolex Swiss bracelet, with no stretch (and still a tight clasp), and will fit an approximate 7″ wrist (three removable screws).
