Up for grabs is a very rare and stunning Rolex Datejust, Ref. 16078, an 18kt yellow gold wristwatch, made specifically with a bark finish on the bezel and centerlinks on the bracelet. This example dates to 1978, and is fitted with a rare “Lapis Lazuli” stone dial.
The condition of this Rolex Day-Date is amazing. The case is unpolished and sharp, clearly very carefully worn over the years. The Lapis stone dial is in perfect condition, with no cracks or marks.
The watch comes on its original Jubilee 18kt Rolex Swiss bracelet, with virtually no stretch, and will fit an approximate 7-7.25″ wrist.
