Description
Up for grabs is a gorgeous example of a gilt-dial Rolex Submariner, Ref. 5513, circa 1966 (1.3m serial). The watch is in fantastic condition. The case has been previously polished, but the lugs are thick and even, and still show light bevels. The dial is beautiful and super glossy, with no crazing or scratches. The original tritium lume is present on the dial, aged to a golden yellow; the hands appear to be early replacements, aged a shade lighter than the dial. The bezel insert is correct for the era, and has faded to a light blue hue. The watch comes on its original 6646/80 stretch-rivet Rolex bracelet, in great condition with no stretch, and 12 full links.
