SOLD
Description
Up for grabs is an incredible example popular Rolex GMT-Master, in two-tone steel and yellow gold, circa 1984. The transitional reference 16753 was an upgrade of the earlier reference 1675 with a new movement and quickset function, allowing the user to change the date with much greater ease. This example features the so-called “nipple” dial, due to the smaller hour markers, and is applied on a black iridescent “sunburst” dial. Further, this example comes complete with its original Rolex inner and outer boxes, and “punched” Warranty Certificate.
The Rolex GMT-Master offered here is in excellent vintage condition. The case is unpolished and razor sharp, with virtually no wear, seemingly very seldom worn. The dial is gorgeous, with no wear or damage. The original tritium lume is present on both dial and hands, aged to a nice yellow color. The watch comes fitted on a Rolex Swiss Jubilee 62523H bracelet with 50/450 endlinks/endpieces, and has virtually no stretch.
