Rolex “Full-Set Red” Submariner

SOLD

Description

Up for grabs is an excellent example of the popular Rolex “Red Sub” Submariner, Reference 1680. Bearing a serial of 3.2 million, this watch dates the watch to 1971, and has an “MK4” dial. Further, the watch comes with its original inner and outer Rolex box, and original “punched” Guarantee Chronometer certificate, showing the point of sale to a store in Spain in 1974, and various booklets and Rolex anchor.

The present example is in excellent condition. The case shows thick and even lugs, with original beveled edges still visible, and does not appear to have been heavily polished in the past. The dial is mint, with no flaws, marks or chips. The original tritium lume is still present in both hands and dial, aged to a nice yellow color. The bezel insert appears to be an early service replacement.

The watch comes fitted on a Rolex flip-lock 93150 bracelet, with 580 endlinks. The bracelet has 11 full links and has minimal stretch/wear.
