Rolex “Full-Set Cream Rail Dial” Explorer II

SOLD

Description

Up for grabs is an incredible and rare full-set Rolex Explorer II, circa 1987, Reference 16550, with uncommon “rail” dial (meaning the bottom to lines of text line up proportionally), aged to an incredible dark, cream color.  The watch comes complete with its inner and outer Rolex boxes, Rolex brochure, and Rolex Warranty Certificate, dating the sale of the watch originally to 1988.

This Rolex Explorer II is in excellent vintage condition.  The case is unpolished and sharp, with original factory beveled edges.  The dial is immaculate, with no marks, scratches, or flaws.  Further, the original tritium lume is present on both dial and hands, aged to a golden yellow color.  Lastly, the watch comes fitted on its original Rolex Oyster 78360 bracelet, with 501 endlinks, and has 11 full links (and additional links included separately) and no stretch.
