Description
Up for grabs is a lovely Rolex Submariner, reference 16803, circa 1985. The reference 16803 was Rolex’s first two-tone Submariner reference, housed in a stainless steel and yellow gold case. Further, this watch remains with its original Rolex box and “punched” Warranty Certificate.
The condition of this Rolex Submariner is excellent. The case is incredibly sharp, retaining its factory bevels, and appears unpolished. However, the real standout on this watch is the dial, aging from factory blue to a striking slate grey-blue color, and the bezel insert has faded to match the dial. Further, the original tritium lume in the dial and hands have aged to a lovely pale, off-white color.
Finally, the watch remains on its Rolex two-tone Oyster 93153 bracelet with 493 endlinks, and has 10 full links with very light stretch.
